About Us
The GSMST Mission |
Our mission as the GSMST Chapter of Gwinnett County's VITA Program is to provide beneficial and efficient tax filing services to the low to moderate income families in our area. We also strive to help these families in any way we can, which is why we also offer services to find clothing and food aid close to them. We take pride in our hospitality and communication skills and want to spread our happiness with others.

The First Year of Our Program |
Our VITA program was founded in the fall of 2015, and we successfully certified 32 VITA/TCE volunteers. All of our volunteers are high school students, ages 15 to 19, which makes our volunteer demographic unique from all other VITA sites in the United States. We continue to add new volunteers every year, as well as maintain the tax preparers we already have. Our goal is to raise more awareness about the program so we can reach even more families in need.
|
Our Current Program |
Since our initial founding in 2015, the GSMST chapter of the VITA Program has grown to include over 50 certified VITA/TCE volunteers and files over 100 tax returns for free every year. Our current goal is to expand the reach of our program by adding tax document collection sites around the county outside of the standard Dacula site in order to reach as many individuals as possible through our new virtual filing methods..
